Basket Range Wine
Join us at Adelaide Hills Wine Bar this Sunday, August 2nd for the first grower-maker in our Winemaker Spotlight series: Sholto Broderick of Basket Range Wines.
Basket Range Wine is a second-generation vineyard and winery in the Adelaide Hills. Their main focus is on the traditional varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, which were in the first plantings of Basket Range Wine. Also producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, varieties synonymous with the region. Simple winemaking allows the site, aspects and varieties to be reflected in the bottle. Basket Range Wine is focused on making wines with complexity, detail and longevity. All of the wines are made at the winery on the property, where Sholto himself grew up. Sholto leads the viticulture and winemaking with a small team, who together produce beautiful, expressive wines.
Sholto will be joining us between 1pm and 4pm this Sunday 2nd of August, to pour and discuss his wines and the vineyards they come from. Four wines will be on the pour, with glass and bottle sales available over the bar. A tasting fee of $15 provides a generous taste of these four wines, poured by Sholto himself.
Walk-ins are welcome, but due to the intimate nature of the event, bookings are highly recommended so that we can guarantee the quality of your experience.
One of our favourite artists, Bill Meegan, will be playing alongside this event for you to continue enjoying your afternoon upon the completion of your tasting with Sholto.
